“How can we utilize Visa's ‘Flex capability’ to create a seamless and intuitive consumer experience for a potentially complex proposition, while ensuring that our clients can easily navigate the implementation process within their own environments?”

The Process

  • To initiate the project, I facilitated an ideation session with a cross-functional team comprising Product, Architecture, Development, Design, and Research to clarify the current parameters and functionalities of the ‘Flex’ capability. At the end of the session we had established 7 value propositions that sat within the capability.

  • I initiated the project by creating rapid low-fidelity wireframes to lay the groundwork.

  • After making multiple iterations based on hypotheses, we progressed to developing a high-fidelity prototype.

  • With the launch of the Flex proposition in Europe, it was crucial to identify regions most receptive to the offering from both end-users and client banks. I directed our research partners in creating a survey to assess consumer sentiments towards local banks, as positive attitudes would indicate a stronger likelihood of adopting Flex. Additionally, I shaped and tested the narrative to effectively sell the proposition to our clients.

  • After identifying the suitable EU regions, I led the design and research efforts to launch qualitative research in five European markets, aimed at testing the product proposition with end consumers.

  • I collaborated with the product and development teams to design a suitable sprint plan based on the customer journeys I created. After establishing the proposition, I collaborated with the Product and Client Executive teams to create a sales deck that guided clients through the product offering, utilizing narratives from our consumer tests and insights into regional attitudes and behaviours.

  • Once the proposition was distributed, we generated a waiting list of clients interested in implementing the capability within their environments. After prioritising these clients, I facilitated workshops for the client execs, developers and design team to determine which aspects of the capability would be most suitable and assist them in understanding how to effectively embed the proposition within their operations.

The Deliverable

The deliverables comprised a compelling product proposition sales deck, designed to effectively communicate the value and benefits of the product to clients. The proposition outlined features, functionalities, and strategic advantages of the capability. Together, these materials provided a robust foundation for engaging clients and facilitating successful implementations.
